The Great Deal

t was said that the ehmog's ancestors were given a deal by a sly creature of light: to trade their ability to fly for the ability to invent. Only some of the dragons took the offer, a couple hundred from the red, orange, and yellow dragons each agreed to the deal. After gaining this ability, they made homes and tons of progress. Their spines evolved to stand upright and their scales crept away from their torso. They became the Ehmog.

Eventually after years of arguments of which was superior, those with the ability to invent or those without, they finally contacted and made peace with some of their ancestors who did not take this deal, although some remained hesitant. In open arms they lived alongside them for a brief while, only to show their true intentions. They then started to hunt down the dragons for meat, bone, scales, horns, teeth, and anything else they could use the dragons for. They saw themselves as a separate higher being to their ancestors. The horns particularly were great for fueling lanterns and alchemy.
