Session 4: Deep Snows and Goblins Lairs

General Summary

The morning of the group's third day at the Northern Lookout Tower brought with it part of the disturbance dispatched. Now it was up to the duo to deal with the remaining issue, which was a large goblin lair southeast of the tower. A few hours of travel quickly returned the two to a path they had followed previously, making them realize they had been mere minutes from the lair before.
After attempting to stealthily enter the lair, a small slip up brought the duo falling into the lair which looked to be home to ten goblins and two specialized hobgoblins. A fight ensued, with the barbarian being surrounded and dispatching those that stood in his way. The hobgoblins rallied their troops before disappearing through the back wall of the cave. Once the cave was cleared and their bountiful goblin ears gathered, the two found the hidden door at the back of the cave and the small chamber that was also hidden.
The hidden chamber was full of crates of trade goods from the Underdark, an oddity in this area as well as something unheard of for goblins. Taking the crates back to Yllvalion, the two found out they were deeper in than they had first been. The crates were goods from House Baenre, a well known trade family of the Underdark. Elduin Ylyndar explained more and the two were informed to return back to the castle in a week for their new mission.
During the week, the duo took part in downtime activities with the barbarian training with his sword and the channeler telling fortunes. Both were successful in their activities and found some gain.
