Session 5: Castle Nightbreeze Report

General Summary

The party visited the shopping district and the Rogue decided to take the child back to the tavern where he received comforts and shelter while the party prepared for the banquet at the castle. By exchanging their Mithril Coin the party was able to gain access to the inner walls of the castle, moving past the area where commoners were enjoying music and drinking. This area was exclusive for nobles and guests of the castle. Here the party met a number of people, some were pleasant and others demonstrated the typical attitude expected from nobles and rich rulers.
Everyone found someone at the party that piqued their interest though and enjoyed various drinks from the surrounding kingdoms. The Ranger found some familiar company with a cousin of her kin, a Goliath from the northern territory that acted as a representative. The Warlock turned his ear toward the conversations of the nobles and tried to offer services in the form of route clearing for trade areas, which was laughed off until a guest from Coastland backed the nobles down with a stern rebuke and left the Warlock with a Platinum business card. The Cleric and the Paladin found themselves at the feet of the sleeping Orium dragon exchanging pleasantries and later they were approached by the overarching religious leader of the area, a member of the Newmoon that had dedicated themselves to the Pantheon of War and an exchange prompted a story about Kallex's battle against his shadow from the Orium dragon to be told. The Bard found themselves interested in a Drow that amused himself by tricking various nobles to wander down a set of stairs into the mist maze, after they started to panic he cast silence over the area and grew bored of observing them.
The inner courtyard of the castle began to fill up and a peculiar sight appeared in the sky, a pair of blue dragon wings that looked ethereal and crackled with energy soared through the sky and their pilot crashed to the ground. In the process, several tables were destroyed and a large mess was created, the arrival of the last noble had taken place, Darius Nizz, the monster mage. With this the arrival of the main party was at hand, the crowd quieted and the storytelling banquet was about to begin.
