Cetar

Cetar (say-TAR) is one of the oldest gods in Cytherean mythology. Responsible for Farming and Famine, Cetar is often depicted as a figure wearing simple laborer clothes. His left half appears as a weathered old man, his right as a gaunt corpse. He carries a simple wooden hoe with him, and is often depicted as using it as a walking stick. When held in his left hand, he uses it to carve swaths of arable land behind him. When held in his right, fields wither in his wake.   Cetar is often worshipped by farmers, praying for a good harvest or to be spared from drought and pestilence. Clerics of Cetar believe that the cycle of plenty and none is part of the natural order of the world, and that by pleasing Cetar, one can lengthen the plenty, and reduce the none.
