Crystal City

Government

Crystal City is overseen by the king, but mainly run by the Magistrate. The Magistrate leads a group of 10 people who discuss and vote on laws. These 10 people are chosen by the king, and the Magistrate is chosen by the previous Magistrate. If he has failed to choose a successor, the king is able to choose the next Magistrate. When voting, the Magistrate gives a speech for why he thinks a law should or shouldn't be passed, and one of the 10 members gives an opposition. The remaining 9 members vote, and the side that has 5 or more votes (majority) wins out. If nobody opposes the Magistrate's initial speech, the law is considered unanimously agreed on and immediately passed. However, the king has a right to revoke the law, and this decision cannot be overruled.
