Cardinal Directions

Four stars in the night sky make a square. There is a red star, a green star, a blue star, and a white star. During the night, these are seen overhead, and during the day, they can be seen on the horizon, one in each direction. The four cardinal directions are based on the names of the stars. Candastri is the white star and is generally considered to be at the top of maps. Dohkar is the red star and is usually located at the bottom of maps. The blue star, Tekheleth, is right and the green star, Dokeleth, is left.
When telling directions, people typically say "In the direction of" or "towards" and the name of the star. There are records of people referring to the directions only by the name of the star.
