Slobodažať "Light of Freedom"

A bright steady violet light in the southern sky. Slobodažať, as it is named within the Drakhan Hegemony, is a symbol of freedom from bondage. Unlike other celestial bodies, Slobodažať stays static against the sea of stars. It is extremely far to the south, such that it does not become visible in the night sky unless from extreme elevation until one travels south of the Rhûn Freeholds bordering on Korvassie lands.   To the Korvassie it is Korvass, the home of the Three, and points the way to their homeland.   Ilkani scholars debate what this object actually is, since it moves, or rather fails to move, unlike any other celestial object. Magical attempts to examine it have proven unsuccessful, merely showing a bright violet light. After it first flared into view, it has since stabilized and its light does not even flicker. It is quite bright, visible anytime the world is twilit or darker.  The steady brightening of Slobodažať is seen as an indication of an upcoming Tsalignist, warning of such event is sent from the Staurc Pinnacle to the other nations once it is confirmed.   In the Hegemony, the light of Slobodažať has come to represent the enduring of the Hegemony, and it is a subject of intense study and scrutiny by the elders from atop the Staurc Pinnacle. There is an apocalyptic prophecy within the Hegemony that says that the failing of Slobodažať will herald the return of the Dravosh, who will return to punish their wayward scions.   In the Hegemony, the light of Slobodažať has come to represent the enduring of the Hegemony, and it is a subject of intense study and scrutiny by the elders from atop the Staurc Pinnacle. History

This bright object flared to life in the southern sky suddenly during Tsalignist two years before the Quietus. Visible only from the very apex of the Staurc Pinnacle, it was seen by the enslaved Drakhan and Dragkhun as a sign from the heavens that the time was right for rebellion. Later comparison with Ilkani records show that the object was unrecorded prior to that time.
