Krakoz Albrani was born in Babalak, former mighty empire that succumbed to the Sultanate of Asfa’han. Under the Sultan’s rule, his family was crushed and survivors had to carve out an existence incognito.
Krakoz initially sold the servants traveling with him as slaves. He used that capital to invest in more slaves and 6 cycles later had a lucrative network.

Krakoz ran for months with a small group of loyal retainers. They lived as brigands, but when Krakoz sniffed the first rumor of mutiny, he drugged them. Cast them in irons and sold them as slaves.

The Heritor did not seem to desire Yeshir, rather, he used her as a weapon, honing her abilities at every opportunity.
