Silvas Forest
The Silvas Forest is the home of the elves.
Geography
The forest is relatively flat and low, being an island in the river. Fresh water is obtained from the river.
During fire season, the elves evacuate to outside the river and let the forest burn for a few days.
Fauna & Flora
The forest has a temperate climate, and experiences four seasons about the same as, say, the American south. The trees are wholly deciduous, and the forest floor is thick grass. Flowers grow in abundance, as well as creeping vines (which are used as ladders.) The fauna is diverse: rabbits, deer, colorful birds, and insects. Overpopulation isn't really a problem, as the animals migrate from the valley to raise young before returning, leaving behind their sick and injured for treatment.
Natural Resources
Fruit grows in abundance, and there are flowering roots to eat. There is no need to exploit the land when buildings can be grown from living wood.
