Byd Mawr

Beside the Gwyrdd Mawr there is many settlements scattered along the edges of the forest but Byd Dwr is the largest and most popular of them all. Byd Dwr isn’t quite a city but its bigger than the conventional town, this is because it’s known for the fresh water that it sources from the Gwyrdd Mawr. 
It started off as a few travellers who decided to rest outside before the journey into the Gwyrdd Mawr, those few travellers insisted on more and more rest until they ended up a permanent fixture choosing to help those who do take the journey. Not because the rumours about Gwyrdd Mawr burrowed deep in them but for their fellow men who could need help when they decide to journey on. As more of these would be adventures paused before they entered the Gwyrdd Mawr the cluster of buildings grew until it became a village, villages however need supplies. Luckily less than half a day’s walk into the Gwyrdd Mawr a stream comes to an end at the base of a small valley, so as the village needs grew a few of those adventures decided that they would in fact venture into the Gwyrdd Mawr to bring a supply of fresh water. Weeks later when a pump was set up and flowing water out to everyone it became a marvel, to be able to taste the pure fresh water of Gwyrdd Mawr without having to journey in, the town grew.
A generation later and the town is known to all those in the cities as their supplier of goods for the supermoon celebrations, as the water of the Gwyrdd Mawr is so untainted by man that when its used in recipes or drank its claimed to help connect you to nature.
It’s not common for goods to be sent on long journeys as everything is usually bought and soul locally, but this is one of the few places that do because of its proximity to Gwyrdd Mawr and the claims of its pure water. The Elite have been known to travel here days before the Supermoon ritual to drink the water and collect samples for the ritual itself.
