Shafia Kalice

Seen as the real power in the Crossroads since Takrin's steep decline, Shadia is the matron of the Kalice family, the wealthiest family in the region. She is also a mage who once trained with Kosor but had a falling out some years past. It is known that she is in line with the Azure Wizards of Deepvale and hopes to eventually attain a seat among the Nine as the Arch Diviner, though her powers would have to grow considerably for that to be a possibility. Even though Jessa Lasserty was her younger sister, she despises Takrin and is rumored to plot his death so that her nephew Kaiden (more loyal to the Kalice family than the Lasserty) will inherit the lands and side with Deepvale. Her husband, who sided with Deepvale, died in the War of the Vales in 2257 and left her with the estate and three children: Shaefer Kalice, 25, Shadia Kalice, 20, and Shander Kalice, 18.
