Old Man Thire Character in Creacia | World Anvil

Old Man Thire

The beggar Thire, who is always found either at the Wayfarer’s Well or Caiden’s Cup when he has money, is an inveterate town drunk and loon who has an undefinable air of nobility about him. No one knows his species, but he is either a Human with unnaturally long life or some type of Half-elf. Known for his never-ending supply of jokes, songs and riddles, he is loved by the common folk and tolerated by the Council of the Crossroads. Implacably good-natured, Thire will simply start laughing insanely and walk away when asked about his past. He has drawn suspicion in the past for his ability to presage the future, including the War of the Vales and different raids on the town or countryside. His only possessions besides his colorfully mismatched and patched clothes is an old cracked dulcimer missing a string and never fully in tune, and a gnarly walking staff with a single Griffin feather attached.
