Alchemical Spellogy

What is Alchemical Spellogy

Alchemical Spellogy is the usage of the Alchemical Elements to cast Core Spells. A Mage is someone who uses Alchemical Spellogy.

What are the Elements Used In Alchemical Spellogy?

The Elements that are used in Core Spells are: Earth, Fire, Water, Air, and Spirit. These Elements are used in casting the Core Spells. The Elemental heirarchy of Alchemical Spellogy is from the most abundant of the Element. Air would be the most abundant and the easiest to cast, while Spirit is only used by the most strongest of Mages. Or by the most clumsey of Mages that can't control their Alchemical Craft Talents.

How Does A Mage Cast Alchemical Spellogy?

The Mage, for casting the Core Spells, should have the Spells components. These components can differ depending on the Core Spell, like for the Shield spell the Mage would need some dirt or metals from the Earth to cast. With the Core Spell like Ignite, you would need an open flame or a match to cast the Core Spell. The Core Spell would take the flame and use it for the other sources the Mage wants to ignite.

The Core Spells of Alchemical Spellogy

The Core Spells of Alchemical Spellogy are Shield, Ignite, Water Health, Windfury, Drain/Empower. Each of the Core Spells has their own element that corresponds with it. A Mage can use any of the Core Spells as long as they have the correstponding element for that Spell. The easiest Core Spell is Windfury as all it needs is either the Mage's breath or just the air around them.

Societal Views on Alchemical Spellogy

This type of Alchemical Art is by far the most accepted than Alchemical Demonmancy. This type of Alchemical Craft is taught in all of the major high schools of Kallimare. Mages and citizens are used to seeing this type of Alchemical Craft more than Alchemical Demonmancy, where the Demonologist is working with the Demons that perhaps killed their families. While the Demonologist's percpective of Alchemical Spellogy is that it's a lesser Alchemical Craft, that only requires some dirt to use.
A Mage's percpective of Alchemical Spellogy differs from Mage to Mage, as all Mages like to keep their books of the Alchemical Craft to themselve. While most of Kallimare argue the fact that everyone should be able to learn Alchemical Spellogy, only a certain amount of schools teach this Alchemical Art. Mages look at Alchemical Demonmancy as a more chaotic form of the Alchemical Crafts, due to the sheer fact that the Demonologist is working with Demons, creatures that have killed more people than any major disease or sickness. This is why the books and knowledges of Alchemical Demonmancy was burned and discaded from any society.

Manifestation

For the mage to manifest the Core Spell, the Mage has to have the element connected to the Core Spell. The Mage will concentrate on a Core Spell and grab the designated materials for the Core Spell. When the Mage has their desired Core Spell, they will infuse their energies into the component of the Core Spell.   An example of this is when a Mage decides to use the Core Spell Windfury, the mage will either gather their breath in thier hand which will cause the air to glow with a green energy and form the Windfury to their desired shape. This could be a ball to throw at opponents or even a wall of solid air, to keep you or your opponents away from those nasty Demons.
Another example is with the Shield Core Spell, the mage will concentrate on the energies, channeling it through them before taking any kind of dirt, sand, stone, earth, grass, or metal and focus the energy into the object of earth. Once the object is filled with a bright orange glow the component is ready for use. The Mage will then either throw the dirt around them or raise the ground near them to be a shield.
