Imperial Augmented

Mankind has always dreamed of being greater than it is. For hundreds of years now, it has been experimenting with genetic engineering. The greatest thing to come of this has been the Imperial Augmented, superhumans designed to be greater than humanity in every way. (And truly, they are quite successful in this.) With strength and speed that put the best human athletes to shame, near-immunity to poison and disease, and the ability to endure bullet wounds, it seems hard to believe that their greatest weapon is their mind.

Anatomy

Mostly as human, though consistently muscular and flexible.

Genetics and Reproduction

As humans, though with only six month gestation, less dangerous and painful birth, and no real menstrual cycle. In addition, the offspring of a human and an Imperial Augmented will always be an Augmented.

As human, though a much broader range of environments are habitable with difficulty and/or discomfort.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Mostly as human, but can eat many things that are poisonous to humans or cannot easily be digested. Their faster metabolism, however, causes them to require food and water in much higher quantities.

Average Intelligence

Average intelligence is what is considered the high end of human intelligence, with exceptional examples simply having no unaugmented intellectual peers.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Vastly sharper senses than humans in every respect. In addition, most have cybernetic implants installed during creation allowing them to see and hear broader ranges of inputs, as well as magnify vision and block or focus on specific sounds

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Generally see humans as inferior but deserving protection and assistance, not unlike children in many cases. The Tallon Empire actively turns humans into Augmented on a regular basis. Some humans outside of the Empire consider the Augmented to be inhuman and their creation immoral and dangerous, however most humans look up to the Augmented. This is especially true in the Empire, where they are frequently granted government positions or military offices of command after only short careers.
The Augmented get along well on general principle with the T'ap'akk'um'p't. They see them as somewhat dim, and too easily made to obey, but the Empire nonetheless has established an alliance with the T'ap'akk'um'p't'katum, who officially holds that the Augmented may very well be their gods.
