Captain Amalda Talidas (a.k.a. Silver)
Peerless warrior, world-shaking Orator, cunning leader, and skilled Captain. Amalda Talidas is only truly limited by the resources at his disposal and his moral conviction in the cause of liberty and independence. As an Imperial General, Federal Sector Governor, or even President of his own nation, Amalda Talidas would be a near-unstoppable force. However, he despises government, and only accepts an informal figurehead role leading the Sky-Raiders.
Nonetheless, his reputation as a fearsome general and something of a folk hero, along with his personal charisma and oratory skills, can keep the Sky-Raiders loosely unified even in absence of rule of law, and his presence alone is often enough to unite them for a common cause. He is quite fond of theatrics and deliberately publicising his actions, and his reputation spreads far beyond the Sky-Raiders. (Although in Federal and New Terran space, many see him as more a terrorist than a liberator.)

Personal history
Amalda was born in 2,581, the first child of his parents Oliva and Rokko who have been stricken from official records to disrupt investigation of their disappearance (A precaution that was later rendered irrelevant when the Sky-Raiders occupied Volantis and Amalda freely admitted his part in the matter.) As a child, he was extremely curious and condescending, angering those around him and developing his own resentment. He was not well liked, but quickly learned how to use this to his advantage, and that of his younger sister, of whom he was extremely protective, and to fight when that failed.
At the age of fifteen, he and his sister aged eleven killed their parents and fled, enlisting in a small nation’s military two years later. Talidas was well liked by the other shock-troopers for his wit and competence, but utterly despised by his superiors and by many of the more disciplined and devoted soldiers, largely for his contrarian nature and disrespect for authority and organization. After two years, he organized the downfall of his unit, and consequently, his nation. He gained the military experience he needed to use weapons effectively, and turned his squad into the leaders of a mercenary company, recruiting the survivors of his old grand-company, along with some of the more experienced pirates of the area.
In 2,602, he launched an attack on his birth planet, known by Imperials as Volantis, and was able to acquire the world rather quickly despite resistance. He made the world into his base of operations, recruiting the surviving population into his Silver-Sky Raiders. For the past few decades, he and his sister have been raiding and conquering across Federation and petty national space, liberating dozens of worlds and destroying or stealing countless ships and stations.

Renowned as the best swordsman in the galaxy, in addition to being an excellent orator, manipulator, and military strategist. It is said that he can win wars by himself, and that he can win wars without fighting a single battle. However, he is ambitious, arrogant, and impatient to a fault. It is frequently the case that his only real challenges are those he causes himself.
Vices & Personality flaws
Arrogant, impatient, and ambitious, he frequently sets challenges for himself if he finds the task at hand boring or not worthy of his skills. While he is a master strategist and manipulator, he prioritizes quick execution over reliability, and frequently has little to nothing in the way of contingencies and backups. In addition, he seems to always be looking for a fight, and never sits idle or bothers with “desk job” tasks, which leads to him having far more enemies than is generally considered safe.

Keeps himself clean and his equipment painted and polished. His living space is the same, and although it appears cluttered and disorganized, in truth he simply has an unconventional way of arranging his things and can recite from memory the location of each of his possessions and why it is where it is.

Holds the Sky-Raiders together largely through sheer force of personality. Despite his rude and informal nature, he always carries himself well. He is proud, even cocky, but this only furthers his image, with his impatience and rudeness being seen as firm decisiveness and a refusal to take shit from anyone.

Always moving, especially when talking and - of course - fighting. His motions become less smooth and more jerky when stressed or angered. Always confident and speaks as such, and frequently ignores conventional social norms and rules, making him appear rude and disrespectful to those outside the Sky-Raiders.

As the most powerful captain of the Sky-Raiders, and the de facto ruler of Volantis, Amalda has not only vast personal wealth, but can assemble armies and fleets to serve him at his whim, and often does. His flagship is the U.S.S. Fuck You, and he owns the S.R.S. Eternal.
