Long Horse

Long Horses are one of the most ubiquitous beasts of burden within the Eurian empire, an instantly recognizable symbol of their mercantile wealth and even military power. They can be seen accompanying Imperial caravans as far away as Eku, and even have made their way across the ocean to Ime.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Long horses resemble a cross between a giraffe and a horse. They are muscular and covered in short fur, although northern breeds tend to be shaggier. It is a hooved animal, with long legs and a long neck. Long horses are slightly taller than a man at shoulder height, and it's head and neck reach more than twice the height of a man.

Long horses have excellent vision, hearing, taste and smell.

Origin/Ancestry

Long horses come in several breeds, differing largely in terms of size and neck length. Southern Eurian long horses tend to be somewhat smaller than northern varieties, with shorter coats. Some southern breeds may have stripes or spots.
