Cos Transit Planes

The Transit Planes of Cos are the inner planes closest to the material plane(Cos) metaphysically and literally. They look similar to our reality and can at least somewhat be comprehended. They were named the transit planes because the elements travel through them to reach the material world and if someone would like to reach the gods' planes then they would first need to travel through these worlds.

Forlight

Forlight is the land between light and the material world. One of the harder planes to access as the gods have blessed it with protection. Forlight is rumored to look like a kingdom in the clouds. Full of beautiful waterfalls, floating mountains, and architecture made with gold, silver, and beautiful rare gems. Angels and similar celestial beings live here. While they are peaceful they do not like foreigners who do not belong there. Some minor gods also dwell here, some ruling over kingdoms and others just wandering around.

Otherworld

The Otherworld is the most common traveled plane from Cos. The fey who populate the civilizations here interact with mortals often. The Elves were rumored to originate from the Otherworld then crossed worlds to live in Cos. The Otherworld looks like a giant twilight forest. Never-ending and endless. It is said this world is like a dream, travelers never know how long they have been there or how far they travel when they do.

Everdark

The Everdark is the opposite of Forlight. The shadows of Cos reflect what the Everdark houses. This world is always night without any stars or moon. Fear and dread fill the travelers who cross to this plane, just be stepping foot into it. The Everdarks environment seems similar to Cos, almost like a mirror of it at times. No one is sure if civilizations exist here, but many creatures have crept out of the lower planes of the gods and inhabit the Everdark now.

Chaos Realm

Chaos Realm is a land of, well, chaos. A primordial world full of active volcanos and constant earthquakes. The mountains are always on the move, crashing into one another. Lava is everywhere, meteors are striking all over, storms are constant with tornados and hurricanes all over the land. Civilizations have not been found here, and scholars believe they would be destroyed as soon as they are created if any had tried to start. Great lizard beasts inhabit the world who can quickly maneuver the constant creation and destruction.

Local Planes

There are two more "worlds" on the material plane that have been discovered, spells can assist travelers in getting to them, but they are not necessary. They are not separate planes of existence, they are indeed a part of the material plane, but not exactly Cos.

Underdark

The world below the world. The Underdark is a great cave system that stretches across almost all of Cos. No one is sure how deep it goes, but many explorers have disappeared forever searching. Many civilizations exist in the Underdark. Deep gnomes, Duergar, Drow, and Hive Elves have all been found to have great Empires below the surface of the world.

The Moons

There are currently two moons above Cos. There are rumors that there used to be three, but one fell on the top of Calmireth. The Altorn are said to originate from the moons, as they claim to be gods from another world. No one is sure if that is true or not, but astronomers have discovered by looking at the moons through a telescope great cities on the surface each.
