Before the beginning of time there was no world. Then Corrigenda became when "The First" felt lonely and was broken hearted. Legend has it that the Band of the Broken Heart is the source of all the magic in Corrigenda. Many have searched for it but to no Avail.The Legend of the Band of the Broken Heart is the legend of the creation of the world of Corrigenda. It is said that The Author tossed her ring into the void and as it flew it gathered together all the elements to create the world. Some say the band can be seen bouncing across the land from time to time, while others that it is the very heart of the world. When the world was completely formed the races began to arrive, first were the dragons, then the fae and finally the humans. The Eldritch were a later addition to the races as they were chosen from the other races. The band gave each race a different style of magic which is said to be from the way the light of the sun and moons reflected off its surface. Each type of magic contained a specific signature which allowed users to identify which race was responsible for its use. The Dragons were a knotted gold, the Fae had a shimmering silver, and the Human were a twisted copper. Upon the apotheosis of The Eldritch their magic was a rose vine.
