Corplanum

Corplanum is the central plain of the Multiverse. Most of the humanoid races have been living here for a long time. Many wars between them have been waged. Many truces have been created and then broken. Some nations have been wiped out, while new ones have been born. Lots of powerful magic artifacts have been forged, but most of them were lost. Nevertheless, life seems to flow in its usual direction unaffected by the people's existence. At least they do not seem to notice if it is affected.   Corplanum is the world full of magic, as any D&D world should be. At some places, it is more welcome than in others. There are many diverse societies all over the world, and each of them chooses the ethics of magic usage for themselves. Some think that necromancy is unorthodox; others have built their whole society on it. In that regard, a lot of conflicts arise.   It is believed, that many centuries ago Gods walked the Corplanum. However, they do not anymore. Gods are extremely ancient beings, who have existed before the creation of Corplanum. Even though by the ways of divine magic, it is possible to use powers granted by the deities, Gods are not invested in people's success or failure. However, people do not know that or do not want to know. So many prayers are sent to the Gods, but none are answered.   Corplanum is only one of the plains of the Multiverse. There are numerous other exotic places where the adventurers can spend their vacations. Some places on the Corplanum allow access to other realms. However, usually, they are heavily protected by the essence of the other planes or by druid tribes.   There are many overwhelmingly powerful items scattered lost all over the Corplanum. Many organizations try to get ahold of them. Most often, that does not lead to anything good for anyone. These items have been forged in the biggest of wars, and their power is too radical for the modern day. Nevertheless, every organization believe that they are strong enough to yield the power of the relics, and not let the relics control them. They are always wrong.
