Corovia (setting for VIRUS RPG by Jason Youngdale)

(The continent of Corovia is roughly the size of modern day United States of America.)   Much of the geography has been shaped by a sizeable meteor that struck the continent ten or twenty million years ago. It remains at the bottom of Lake Vir (may or may not be the source of magic here). The geopolitics of late are informed by the difficulty of massing large groups of people (such as armies) together without the Plague spreading through them like wildfire. As such, there may develop a premium for small but highly capable paramilitary groups to get things done. Healers of all types are always in high demand as the Plague has spread all over the continent of Corovia.   Corovia is home to many humanoid (and non-humanoid) races. Common races that players can choose their characters to be of include humans, elves, gnomes, dwarves, lizard folk, merfolk, etc. Character professions include Cultist, Druid, Pirate, Plague Doctor, Ranger, Redeemer, Thief, Warrior, and Wizard.
