Copperwall

May 8th, 1921

After a war between mages and magical creatures, non-mages sought refuge from the chaos by building an underground city. The goal was to create a safe space away from the war, and after a few decades of planning and construction, the city of Copperwall was created. The war has long since ended on the surface, but because of the city's current dictatorship, no one has entered or exited the city in over a century.   Set in the 1920's, Copperwall is now in its prime as a technological powerhouse tucked away from the world. Despite the latest advancements, Copperwall is socially behind in its inability to create an equitable city for its inhabitants. Ironically, the use of magic is quite popular here, though well-governed and heavily regulated.   Unfortunately for the citizens of Copperwall, history has begun to repeat itself as a new, silent war emerges. Propaganda and preconceived stereotypes have turned non-mages against mages, and mages are becoming more radicalized in their fight for social justice. There is a rumor going around that a past generation of mages figured out how to open the gates and liberate the city. Can the new generation finish what they started?
