Constance

The planet Constance is never actually referenced in the first novel. The story focuses on the establishment of the first city, Markiz and the discovery of magic. It's the start of civilization. The founding of the first city, Markiz. Rather than a random happenstance of events it is a planned city. Careful negotiation between all families over all aspects of the city, from the location to the layout, to government of the city. All the major families help out in this endeavour. The straightest most direct routes are turned into roads to better allow the flow of goods and people. The goal is to make each Major family stronger, wealthier, to ensure success of what is slowly becoming a country.   Territory is seperated by large areas of undeveloped land.
