Communions Amalgamation

The adventures, after a long day wandering around the marbled city, had finally found who they were looking for. No one listened to old Bret's "story"s" about the future. But, there's no denying that there is truth in what he says. So, with what little gold the party has left, they offer to Bret, in return for one of his stories.   "The world looks peaceful from here, doesn't it? We all talk like we share the same lives, the same wants, and needs. Peachy ain't it. How we can ignore what happens outside of these borders. Well, that's gonna change I guess... now that everyone here shares the same fate.   Somethings spreading. It ain't no normal plague or sickness... no. I can't think of one thing that could test the gods this much. But there's more to it, there's just something.. something about this that no one can understand. I guess the world decided that there's things that deserve no explanation.   It's coming from the East, the old ruins of Thersi. Past those mysterious pines of Fuier and over the gorge of that blistering hot desert is that swamp. I always thought something was lying at the bottom of the endless pit of sludge, hidden behind the drapes of wilted trees and sickly beast. It's here now, whatever it is and whether we like or not, it's here.
