Younger than most of her rank Col. Runa nonetheless is in command of the 7982nd Defense Squadron.
A sharp lady Colonel Runa tends to embody the work hard and play hard mentality. She holds a weekly required Squadron call to address the men and oddly to serve as a bartender to the squadron. 
She seems to have a keen eye for how drunk her men are and sends them off to their bunks with a promise of running in full gear equal to two times the number of men not accounted for in their bunks when Fu Leng walks through in a random amount of time.
As a commander, if she deploys she is a middle positioned leader letting her squad leaders handle their men but in constant communication with said SLs.
