Itohiro Nakami
Dr. Itohiro Nakami
Dr. Itohiro Nakami is the Hoffman Institute's public face, though he is known to shy away from the camera, preferring instead to simply sign his name to press releases and the like. He is fluent in Japanese, English, Spanish, and Latin, and is well known for his love of classical music.
Dr. Nakami's grandfather, with whom he shares his name, founded the Institute with Tomas Hoffman, a wealthy financier, in 1917. Dr. Nakami the first died in 1940 at 70 years of age, to be replaced by his son, also named Itohiro Nakami at that time. The second Itohiro Nakami died in 1977, and Dr. Itohiro Nakami III has been running the institute ever since, though he has hinted at a possible retirement.
