Asgard Hall
Asgard Hall is a keep, situated north of Ross Lake in Washington State.
It's big, but clearly in a state of disrepair; sections of the wall appear to be falling in. It's surrounded by a moat, and access into the keep is over a drawbridge.
There are a few places of interest within the keep especially:
Inside the keep:
The yard
This is where the entrance to the keep proper is. It's kept fairly tidy, the snow mostly cleared to expose the bricks underneath. Carts occasionally wheel in here, laden with supplies, and are brought into the storerooms through the main entrance. The feast hall
The feast hall is large, impressive, and warm. There are a few sets of tables running the length of the room. At the head of the room is another table arranged perpindicualarly to the others: there's a massive chair, very nearly a throne, in the middle, and several more chairs to its left and right. Behind the throne is a massive hearth, easily fifteen feet wide. Tapestries are hung along the walls depicting, strangely enough, scenes of feasting. The room is almost always occupied; men and women will be in here between meals, cleaning and tidying, making it ready for the next feast. The infirmary
The infirmary is unlike any infirmary you've probably ever seen: no white linens or nurses running around, no white floor or fluorescent lights. There's a dozen beds here, most of them hard and lined with straw. A single woman attends to the injured -- Frigg -- though she occasionally has help from others. There's a hearth here, too, with a set of pots arranged around it. Herbs are hung from the rafters, and the various tapestries hanging from the walls depict plants and their harvest.Outside the keep
Yggdrasil
Yggdrasil is a few hundred yards to the east of the keep. The barracks
The barracks are a set of longhouses situated a few hundred yards west of the keep. There's about a dozen there, each with capacity of about twenty-four men. They can build them quick enough, so they tend to remain at capacity.
