Clockwork Jungle

Within the aftermath of World War III humanity presses on. In the year 2120 the developed world has carved a level of stability for themselves while other countries continue to suffer from starvation, internal war and the water crisis. The European Union, spared the nightmare of nuclear war, has risen to become the world's greatest economic superpower, though the recovery of other nations is speeding up.   Technology has rapidly advanced since the war and the line between man and machine becomes more obscured by the day. It is exceedingly rare to find people walking the streets without some kind of technological enhancement, whether that be a cyberbrain or prosthetic limbs and organs. Radiation fields plague the landscape where nano-scrubbers have been instructed to ignore. Artificial Intelligence is on the verge of being recognized.   The newly founded capitol of the EU, Arcadia, runs off the back of large shady corporations who care more about money than the wellbeing of their citizens. The government is corrupt, the political landscape is extremely fragile and crime is off the charts.
