Nokembe

Humani shapeshifters from the world of Tholace, created by the Thitan Haluthan. They tend to be slightly smaller than normal Aalevi and can transform into a theropod form. Unique amongst shapeshifters they can shift either to a smaller faster form or a much larger stronger form. They are native to the Continent of Opiera. They have been persecuted for centuries by both the Tussian Empire and the Chovantine Hegemony so they now keep themselves hidden in the big cities of the Hegemony where they can just blend in with all the other peoples from all over the nation. Though they look very much like an average Humani, like all shapeshifters they have difficulty in reproducing with other humani.
Their language, culture and even naming traditions have all been lost in an effort to blend in and not be noticed. They are able to recognize other Nokembe though by smell.
Their appearance is drawn from Africa.
