Nimu

A tall gangly humanoid species from the frozen continent of Aninyar on the World of Tholace. Their skin is semi-translucent, enabling you to see dark outlines of their internal organs. They are double-jointed and can fold themselves up into a surprisingly small shape. They have no nose or hair, and it is uncertain how they reproduce. They like the cold and can move surprisingly swiftly in it, though the higher the temperature the slower they move. Temperatures of around 30 degrees Celsius will cause them to fall into a deep torpor and reaching 40 degrees will kill them.
They are able to "press" themselves into another person's body. The process is extremely painful for that person and will result in their death. The Nimu can then wear that person's skin for a certain period and even retain some of the body's original memories for a time. Heat of course can reduce the time a Nimu can wear a skin, and the skin can even start to peel in some cases. They can also push their fingers into people's heads and read their surface thoughts or whether they are being truthful.
The Nimu are important members of the Chovantine Hegemony, often functioning as spies and saboteurs for the House of Whispers or as interrogators for the Vindicators.
