Iaryads

Dangerous & fierce merfolk that were once the exiled Wave Dancers. The stress of utilizing their magic to survive alone on the oceans took their toll on the Wave Dancers. Those who grew bitter and angry transformed into the Iaryads whilst those who did not allow these dark emotions to dominate them would transform into the more light-hearted Meryads. The skin of the Iaryads is a darker green than the more friendly Meryads.
The Vigil would consider them abominations of the Vainnuri classification.
