Elacite Crystals
The Ehoshim used these large jewels to store and record the memories, experiences and knowledge of each Ehoshim. Every Ehoshim individual had one, or that used to be the case. Since the Shattering of Aaru if a Thitan or any Kyrioi touched an Elacite Crystal nothing happens anymore. They experience nothing.
The Thitans have gathered nearly 2000 of these jewels from the ruins of Archeron - The City of Twilight and they are stored in the Temple of Souls in Nidhol. The Thitans have been capturing those with the potential for great magical power and exposing them to the touch of an Elacite Crystal. So far, all have fallen into a deep coma and stayed that way, with one exception. At the moment there is nearly 1000 Sleepers, some who have been sleeping for over a thousand years, with enchantments being used to keep their bodies alive and preserved at the condition and age they fell into their comas.
When the Sleepers touch an Elacite Crystal, they find themselves occupying the mind of an Ehoshim on one of the worlds of the Heptarchy. The original mind of the Ehoshim is just a small voice in the back of their mind. And it is not just one mind they are inhabiting, they are inhabiting every fragment/version of that Ehoshim individual on all worlds across the Heptarchy that it still exists on.
The crystals are large hexagonal gemstones, about the size of a knights helm, with a bright dark red colouring with streaks of black running through it. When each of these Sleepers touched their Elacite Crystal, the crystal would start to have a soft glow in the heart of it. Occasionally the glow would fade and the crystal abnormally darken, but for the most part, that glow stays constant.
