Cinogen is an ex-apprentice and ex-lover of Feana. Feana kicked him out when she discovered him stealing from her. He is only a limited & weak Enchanter.
Friend and advisor of Chelaine Cessair. Though he is twice Chelaine's age and was once her tutor when she was a child, he has made some romantic advances which she has rejected. When Kercei stopped teaching Chelaine Cessair, he offered to be her teacher instead. But she already surpassed him, and he was learning from her instead. When she stopped this arrangement, he became resentful and envious, though he has hid this well.
He was one of those who pushed for the binding of Anairedha Daliesyn and her daughter in the Witch-War to preempt her from breaking the Covenant of Alinniah.
