A poor water cress seller in the city of Chiendalar who dreamed of becoming a student Mekineer at Nhovos Collegia, but she was aware her dreams were just a fantasy. She is the first person Ashelin Daliesyn encounters when she arrives in Chiendalar and they quickly become best friends. Together, they are taken in by Caphaestus who makes them his apprentices. When Caphaestus is arrested by the Chovantine Hegemony, he pushes them to take his great Skyship, The Adamant and flee. They take The Adamant and travel to the world of Pelagant.
Ceiko is a short, fun loving girl with short white hair and green eyes. She is fast, clever and likes to create elaborate traps. She is accompanied by a pair of small mechanical sparrows which she uses to spy, and to light her path.
