Prompt 29: Theriza

The first time I ran into a Theriza it was in the wild. These creatures while not carnivores tore through a group of hunters who dared to get close to it's nest. The second time I ran into one was in a ranch where a bunch of them were docile as sheep. I was rather shocked that day when one pounced on me to lick my face. -Ace Cardia

A lizard like creature that has hard skin that can absorb essence into it's skin. These creatures are common in the beast clan alliance and some can be found in certain parts of the edge. These creatures can be extremely hostile in the wild, but can be tamed if you get one while it is still a hatchling.

Basic Information

Anatomy

A large lizard like creature capable of standing up right and even moving up right. Though built for climbing. They are a pack oriented breed who can bond with any creature in their youth. With two legs and two arms that can be used as legs.

Genetics and Reproduction

They are capable of laying eggs that can hatch in a months time.

Growth Rate & Stages

They start as a Theriza pup and can reach adult size in a course of a year.

Ecology and Habitats

They tend to thrive in forest or any place with a decent amount of plants for them to feed on. They go out of their way to protect their territory from predators who may harm their kind.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They are able to feed on any plants, but prefer fruit for their sweetness.

Biological Cycle

As they age they will shed their skin so they can grow bigger in size. They can also gain sharper claws in the wild due to them able to adapt to more hostile environments.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

They have a strong sense of smell that they can use to tell each other apart. They can also sense things based on essence meaning even when coming down wind they can track you.
