Prompt 19: The Canyon of Sapphire

The Canyon of sapphire waters is a place blessed by a powerful water spirit. Said to be where all water that flows through out the canyons and a good chunk of the edge comes from. Here the potent essence of the spirit causes the creatures and plants to develop unique attributes. Here creatures become blind the aquatic and other creatures. Capable of surviving on land and water. Unique plants that bare fruit of varrious tastes.
Some call it a garden of wonders. A place of paradise. To bad most who see it either end up dead or horribly scared because of the vicious creatures that call it home.

Geography

The walls of the canyons are large rocky walls that surround most of the valley. Leaving the only way in by land to the south. Water moves through separate paths heading all across the edge in different directions that have no proper place for someone to walk it. The force of the water leaving through the paths make it where no boat can use it to get into the valley.
Freshwater is abundant here as it makes most of the patches of land here seem like small islands surrounding a large lake at the center.

History

The canyon of sapphire waters has always been known back since the time of the fall of the Lazari. Here Talion and Zavian made a deal to watch over the place. Making sure someone always honored the shrine of the water spirit that called it home.
In time others would try to set up shop here to harvest the resources and all would be met with tragedy. Only those who sought to honor the spirit were safe. This allowed the deminor shamans to visit and the kalnatu who also sought to honor the spirit for its bountiful water. It is also believed that the spirit here could see into the souls of any who entered.
