Flux Fear

With the Awakening came many different experiences for people, one of them was entering the Doors and facing the horrors that threatened to be released into the world. Certain people would come to an understanding and continue to do this with courage and resolve until at one point a man broke down in the streets screaming to the world about seeing them coming while he cut down citizens in the street.

Causes

Researchers have found that when nearing and entering Doors their is a certain influx of mana into a person that generally does not harm a person but in the case that someone is not of a strong enough constitution their bodies become imbalanced and cannot handle the rapid increase and attempts to return to normal by releasing the excess which results in an imbalance when the body releases too much at once.

Symptoms

Some people who enter doors come out fine but others are scarred not just in body but in mind as the influx of mana begins to break down in them causing a person to hallucinate and see things that are not normally there. It starts with the nightmares, reliving what they went through only to have the same dream over and over again. According to the research so far, victims say that after a few weeks of the nightmares they begin to see monsters walking around them with blood and fire in their wake as people die, and there doesn't seem anyway they can actually touch what they see, that is until they begin mistaking others as these monsters.

Treatment

Though their is no best way to treat this right now, many hospitals have resorted to using liquids enriched with mana and crystals to better balance out the fluctuation in their brains, this has shown to work only temporarily as visions return after getting of the treatment for only a few hours.

Cultural Reception

When someone breaks down from this, usually police are notified and lock down the area just in case the person is acting uncontrollably and cannot be helped without endangering the safety of others. This has gotten the wrong attention of the general populace and has led to the viewpoint of those near Divers or Doors are ticking time bombs.
