Amazonas Sanctuary

During the time when Doors had begun to be noticed, zoologists around the world had decided to come together to study these strange and wondrous creatures from across the other side. Banding together to create their own organization, they were able to secure rights to a large majority of land in the amazon rain forest with the mission to create a place of study and observation concerning new things that were quickly being introduced into the world. Though this removed large amounts of land available to the animals previously living there, the Sanctuary established instead was able to also create areas of preservation for these and other animals that were being brought in from around the world to cross study the creatures from the Doors.

Geography

Looking at the area from above, the Sanctuary could be seen as a strange assortment of domes and buildings set within the forest that looks to be something alien and strange given the verdant rain forest surrounding it which leads many investors to doubt the intentions of the researchers there. But within these domes are artificially created areas to best mimic the preferred climate of the creatures they keep, these climates include a boreal dome covered in snow and forest depicting the northern regions of North America or eastern Europe for those from a place of cold and harsh climate, the next dome consists of a large artificial cave system that fills the entire dome save for a small clearing where food and water can be found, the latest dome that was revealed to the public is a version of the Nile river and desert sands on either side. Though there are several more of these locations built within the Sanctuary, they have not been revealed to the public just yet.

Fauna & Flora

Within each of the domes are creatures found from the other side of the Doors, weird and capable of feats incomparable to the normal animals found on earth. Some of their information has been released to the Diver's Association, there are many but some examples are the Ebon Spider, a large arachnid that releases black threads and stabs into its prey with sharpened appendages before wrapping up to eat for later, as well as the latest creature that was put into the boreal dome that is the Frost Wolf, a snow white lupine that seems to be able to blend in with the snow to the extent of invisibility and hunts its prey in complete silence.
