Burust and Elmil Furs

The Dragon's Steppes are long avoided by most living creatures due to the strange weather patterns caused here by the mixture of the coastal winds and the remnants of Mt. Muspel's ash and heat drifting through the air. Avoided except by small villages who live in their warrens to avoid the acid rain, and by the Dracos Auroch, a lesser known cousin of the Keros Auroch.
While living in this strange land, one must take care to not get caught in the rain, for obvious reasons, unless you are this auroch in particular. It's fur, made of a very resilient wax, is able to dilute the acids and the water, enabling the auroch to carry on without fear of dissolving. Additionally, when the weather becomes cold due to the prevailing coastal winds during the monsoon season along the The Emerald Spires, these auroch possess a thick and plush undercoat that is many times softer than sheep, goat, or rabbit fur. Respectively, this was fur became known as Burust and Elmil.
Noted by the villagers of the Dragon's Steppes, they took to domesticating these creatures early on as both a source of meat, and also, mainly, fur.

Properties

Material Characteristics

Burust is an overcoat hair which is waxy, smooth, long, and a straight. It is usually colored red to brown.
Elmil is the undercoat hairs which are stringy, tend to come out in clumps, and are very very soft. the hue of this hair is almost always ranged from a grey to a brown.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Burust is a very oily fur that, in the Dragon's Steppes in waxy. However, when temperature increases, the wax cannot stay its normal consistency, and creates a fine sheen. As such, the people of the Dragon's Steppe's often "melt the hairs" and apply the acid and water resistant wax to other clothings. Often, this makes clothes fairly stiff and hot. Additionally, the oils are also fairly flammable.
Elmil is a breathable fur that is stronger and warmer than sheep's wool. Because it is so effective, it is often woven in a single thin sheet in clothing.
