Child of the Dawn

Delphine was born with tremendous power, but traumatizing mistakes have caused her to exile herself. She has tended her little inn alone for twenty years, suppressing her power and trying to distract herself with good, honest work.   Then late one night, two young boys appear on Delphine's doorstep. Peter and Aiden have their own challenges, but the biggest of these is their missing friend, Niall. He seems to have fallen victim to a curse - one that is frighteningly familiar to Delphine, and that poses a great threat to the entire continent.   Delphine pledges her help to recover Niall, but as she does she finds her traumatic past beginning to unearth itself, and she is torn between her instinct to flee and her desire to protect the young boys. She must confront everything she knows about herself if she stands a chance of defeating the dark forces at work.
