Report on the Conservation efforts for the Quirrilo peoples

Due to several deaths within the conservation team, all at the hands of the Quirrilo, we will be cutting funding to the project and ceasing all further attempts at conservation; they clearly do not want to be saved from themselves and so we shall stop trying to do so. - responce from High Commissioner Gelt

In this report we outline the efforts underaken by the department in our ongoing attempt to conserve the indigionious people of the Rine valley, the Quirrilo -

the Quirrilo are being wiped out at a tremendous rate, almost entirely due to their insatiable warlike behaviour, as such our efforts are critical if this people is to continue to exist-

the issue is that for the Quirrilo war is simply another aspect of their daily lives; they declare war as easily as they say hello, with each keeping a book outlining the wars the are involved in-

Our efforts have focussed on teaching them different ways to deal with their anger other than declare war on someone, thus far we have made limited progress, and where progress has been made with a single Quirrilo they have subsequently been killed by another -

Culture

Shared customary codes and values

-The primary reason for this conservation effort is that they believe a declaration of war is an action to be taken by any who feel slighted or angered by another, they are free to do so and if anything encouraged to by other Qurrilos. One who is insulted and does not declare a personal war in retaliation is seen as weak and cowardly-

Average technological level

They have the technical level of a baboon with a taste for pointy sticks, while they admire the use of bows and more complex items they are unwilling to learn how to use them, which is likely for the best -

Common Dress code

-It is common to wear the clothes of the defeated, culturally it is a means of conveying your power and success over those you deal with, attempts to introduce a sense of style into their society met with catastrophic results and the declaration of several wars between various Quirrilos and the researchers-

Art & Architecture

There is one 'artist' among the Qurrilos and she has spent most of her time fighting off other would be artists, taking it as a personal insult anyone else dare try, due to her formidable combat prowess efforts to teach the arts as a anger management tool have been dropped-

Gender Ideals

they are highly independent, and both sexes will undertake tasks other cultures consider gendered; largely because if they left another to do a job and came back dissatisfied they would then be at war with them -

Courtship Ideals

they do not pair bond, nor do they appear to mate for any other quality other than availability and willingness, courtship simply consists of approaching another Quirrilo and offering, research discovered this aspect accounted for far fewer wars than expected -
