Winter Slint

The Winter Slint is a new breed of bird Scientists have created. Its a combination of a snowy owl and a goshawk. Those who combined them wanted to make a superior bird to balance out the ecosystems of the polar regions. After avifaunas started inhabiting these colder parts of Span and Perch, the predators started dying off. People were afraid of these predators so they went hunting and started killing them. Luckily the prey was able to run and hide. Without their predators their populations grew. If they get too big people will start killing them as well and the whole population will slowly die. So scientist will release the Winter Slint so they will kill some of the prey, but will fly out of reach of the avifaunas. They have superior hunting skills and incredible eyesight and hearing. They will be able to avoid people and hunt their prey safely. These creatures are the polar regions last hope of saving the delicate and beautiful ecosystem.
