Trade rights
"Welcome to the Xendrian trade rights ceremony. All of you young men have, or will turn ten this year and will be completing your trades. Today you will chose your permanent trade, and learn the rules of being a man." These words were said every year by the Xendrian leader. (Or every other year depending on when the boys turn ten) This was a simple ceremony. All the boys stand in front of the leaders plent. They would go through tests to see with trade they were most suited for, then they would be trained in that trade for the rest of the day. Tests included best aiming and kills for hunting, skinning and tool making for carving, and building miniature plents for nesting.
Girls didn't attend this ceremony, but they had a little get together of their own. The leaders wife would gather all the young ladies and show them all the different things a women did. Unlike the men, the women did all their works. They didn't just have one thing to do.
History
This ceremony was created around ten years after the creation of the Xendrian tribe. The leader realized he couldn't be the only one doing the trades, so he called the men of the tribe to help. But as the tribe grew, they needed more and more men. So they decided boys should start working at the trades when they are younger. They also need a way for them to receive their trade and learn it swell. So they created the trade rights ceremony.
Participants
The fathers of the boys also taught them the trades. The leader showed them and evaluated the tests, but the fathers helped the boys with the tests.
Observance
The boys siblings or family were aloud to watch and cheer on except the mothers. They had to complete the girls work teaching.
