Orcish

Orcish is a language only orcs can speak fluently. It's a language full of various squeaks, grunts and snorts that can only be recognized by other orcs and thus very complicated to learn by non-orcs. Orcish is familiar with gnollish, only that gnolls use more growls, barks and snarls in their own language.   Though some goblins, drakonians and even a few nagas learned this language, just to extend their trades with the orcs.   Some would wonder why Orcs use common names instead of very orcish names. The reason is because there are no names in orcish in the first place. Orcs just shouted at each other with "Hey!", "You there!" or "Hey, fat guy!" to mention a few examples. So they adapted common names, especially from humans. Same goes for last names. Only items, objects and cities get orcish names if any, that‘s why their hometown is called Orsimar, fortress town of orcs. There‘s also an underground town called Orsanium, almost as built as the underground dwarven cities. Here is where they also talk orcish but also dwarven as well, which they adapted when the dwarves used to live with them.

Geographical Distribution

This language originated in a fortress town called Orsimar, which is in the Eastern Continent, north from the Golden Ruins and close to the East River. But soon enough, some orcs wandered off and lived in other towns and cities, such as Trade City, Naughtrest and Golden City.
