Travels of the depths

Travels of the depths is a book by an explorer named Alwin Gilgolor. He was said to have entered the Gleaming Teal Abyss by Efren with a ship and crew. They were reported as lost to the Gleaming Teal Abyss a year later. Then ten years later his ship, with only him, reappeared off the southwest coast of Owhua. Alwin Gilgolor was found unconscious and badly injured. He was taken back to the village and nursed back to health by the wife of one of the fishermen. When asked Alwin told the fishermen and his family that he and his crew had traversed the Gleaming Teal Abyss. Told him of tales and said that he was in his book that he titled ‘Travels of the Depths’. When asked about his crew Alwin just said that they had decided to stay in the Gleaming Teal Abyss which is why he had such trouble and was injured because of the ruff seas. Shortly after Alwin had recovered a few strange people started appearing in the village looking for Alwin. None told where he was. However, he didn’t want to cause trouble for the village so one night he took the book and left. He left a letter, one page was written to thank the fishermen and the village for their assistance. While the second one is written in a language that is unfamiliar to those in the village. There were reports of Alwin appearing in different parts of Owhua. He didn’t talk to many people and those that he did talk to said that he always looked to be keeping an eye out and acted very jumpy. There was one last letter received by the fishermen from Alwin saying that he had hidden the book and the fishermen’s family will be safe. After that letter, Alwin was seen once more near the village that helped him then disappeared. The fishermen say that the book had a detailed map of part of the Gleaming Teal Abyss. Along with new creatures, suspected islands, and maybe even a new continent. When asked for exact details the fishermen said that ‘Travels of the depths’ was written in the same language as the second page of his letter. After studying the letter many believe it is written in an ancient language and in code. Many are searching for the book now.
