The Gleaming monster

Around the islands off of Efren and Owhua boarding, the Gleaming Teal Abyss has many tales and legends of a sea monster. Tales from islanders, and fishermen alike of seeing the monster. Some off the coast of Surao island say they have seen the monster playing around the whirlpools that are frequently around. That it is a long body with a large head. With what appears to have crystals waving above their head. Singing a song that sounds like the whispering of the wind mixed with the songs of draglets. Around the islands off of Owhua they have different tales. There have been a few fishermen who had gone a little far into the Gleaming Teal Abyss. The lucky have seen a huge snake-like creature that they see swimming off at a distance. Once a fisherman was rescued from the sea by another fisherman. When asked what happened he said that he was out with his sons fishing when a monster came out of nowhere and attacked his boat. A long beast that had four legs and was strong, a head that was covered with crystals, screeching with the sounds of a thousand voices. Ramming into the sides several times knocking everyone around. Before jumping high out of the water only to flop on the ship snapping it in half. When the fishermen had surfaced he clung to his broken ship calling for his sons with no answer. That fisherman refused to return to the sea, saying he had already lost most of his family to the sea that day. Although many other sailors and fishermen think that he got caught up in a storm by going too close to the Gleaming Teal Abyss and was torn up about losing his sons. On more islands, there are many carvings depicting a snake or dragon-like creature that locals say is there hiding in the deep sea and only comes up to feed.
