Breanti
The richest people in the world build monuments from this stuff. Where do you get it and what special properties does it have?
A dense metal, Breanti is mined from the mountains of the Siyang Han range. It is an ancient metal that requires great expertise to forge and build with. Apprentice forgers usually wait at least 5 years before they are even allowed to start forging it as it is so expensive. An ounce of Breanti can trade for 30-40 gold depending on the demand. It is a dense, hard metal that seems dull in its natural form but once it is forged and turned into an alloy it becomes a deep cobalt blue. The uber rich use it for a wide variety of different aesthetic applications. Many mages and sorcerers are known to hoard small amounts of it to eventually forge into enhancement jewels that can be incorporated into their staffs or personal effects. A Breanti staff can double or even triple the intensity of a spell with the correct training. The Kachirgi's tightly regulate and control it's mining and security around the mines are robust. Gireshi rebel groups have been known to plot to steal batches of the stuff, but the many attempts to steal from the mines themselves throughout the years are legendary in their failures. "That's harder than breaking into the Breanti mines" has become an oft used colloquial phrase.
