These spices can have various effects on the mind. For Somja, the effects are a relaxed state which releases stress. Somka sends the adrenal glands into overdrive, causing the user to become more aggressive and have a boost in speed and strength. Somra on the other hand sends the user into a deep, meditative sleep, which many users have claimed to gain enlightenment from.

The herbs are very rare, being native to the Grizali Isles east of the Tyrsian Sea, which travel to is made dangerous due to the presence of undead pirates.
