The playground of the gods, some called it, before the pawns overcame their masters and established their own rules. Some stick to the old ways, revering the Primal Beings that live among them. Others fear the return of those that have been sealed away. The real gods, The Holy Pantheon, sit idly by- only interfering in matters that concern them. Magic is abundant; but so are wars, unrest, and conflict. Whether amongst themselves or against each other, the three main continents struggle to find compromise. Though for centuries now Cayphus has seen relative peace, something brews on the horizon.   Gujin-Hai, the land of dragons, was the first continent on which mortal life blossomed. It is the birthplace to the orcs and elves along with many other creatures, and home to settlers from around the world. In present day the High Elves of Ae'thel proudly maintain their empire to the north, a magical superpower donning some of the most powerful wizards to be found. The Heishū Dynasty lies below it, an ancient militaristic nation populated and ruled by half-orcs. Xi-wuzhou is the self-titled spiritual capital of the world, home to monks and commonfolk seeking humble lives. It hosts the world's tallest peak, Duniya Ka Gala, and is guarded by the ancient "Spirit Dragon". Refuge is known to the natives as "The Land Lost," an enormous colony established by humans that escaped Vonela Capita centuries ago. Scarred by the suffering that magic can bring, the settlers sought to build a life without its aid. Palado Senang stretches the southern coast, and includes many small islands. The Sun Elves originate here, a peaceful people with a great love for the sea and sky.   Vonela Capita was a war-ground between three Primals for eons before life was able to flourish. Its main populace are humans, halflings, gnomes, dwarves, and trolls- along with settlers and other intelligent creatures. Westrock is a secluded nation, home to many fishing towns and ports as well as one of the great Dwarven Forges. The Pragger mountain range is inhabited by Aarackocra, and human legends claim that the Primal Zephrus' sky city nests within the constantly heavy clouds. Kel'tor is a heavily forested nation, once undisturbed by the major races before elven settlers had moved in. They built their cities into nature, living harmoniously amongst the native creatures and self-titling themselves "Wood Elves." The Tangle is comprised of full, lush jungle, as well as grasslands to the north. Troll clans mainly inhabit the jungle lands; and its capital,The World Tree, is an ancient city home to druids from around the world. Ravencrest is shrouded in chilly mists and rainfall as well as loose forests and fields. Halflings live peacefully within the foothills, and humans and gnomes litter the cliff-ridden coasts. Sabakh is the vast desert that spans the heart of the continent. Many secrets lay buried in the sands, history yet to be uncovered. The Wetlands is a swampy region, not heavily populated, but the world center to criminals trying to lay low. Pirates and bandits frequent the capital, where almost anything can be bought and sold. Wyrmveil's history lies in the land's innate arcane power manifested within ley lines- many lives were lost to greed. Though now mostly desolate, the floating capital city Kathaal is home to powerful arcanists and anyone who wishes to study the magical arts. Nova is Vonela Capita's superpower, and enormous nation hosting the world's largest and most diverse city: Nova Alpha. Though primarily ruled by humans, Novans believe that anyone that can earn power deserves it.   Warring Kingdoms, or Hjaal as the dwarves call it, has long since seen peace. Though not as large as the other continents, the two nations nestled within boast powerful armies. Once a colony of Nova, the Baetian kingdom eventually rebelled for its independence with little resistance from their parent nation. Novans realized that expanding into native dwarven territory was futile, their natural resources never within reach. Refusing to return to Vonela Capita, the settlers scrimmage with the native dwarves over land to this day. Strongfall Empire, populated by native dwarves, is highly nationalistic and rarely allows non-natives to even enter. They dwarves are innovative, possessing unique technologies that they created within their numerous Great Forges under the guidance of a Primal known as Edeta. Robbed of their land to the south, they are constantly on the offensive, trying to drive the human settlers away.
