Cathedris is...
A dark fantasy setting with dieselpunk, gothic, and industrial elements throughout. It focuses on the horror and challenge that comes with living under dead gods, and features monstrous theming; represented both in the creatures of the world, and the way many humans act. It's a world that seems almost sentient in the way it puts people in relentless danger; conflict, conspiracy, and challenge lurks around every corner. Great forces are working in near total secrecy to slowly shift Cathedris into a new future that no one is prepared for.The People are...
Humanity pushed nearly to their breaking point. Coddled, chastized, or used by the gods in ancient history, and then forced to live and grow in constant danger under the God-husks after The Seven Day War. Humans are split across 24 different countries, each with unique cultures and backgrounds -- though becoming increasingly connected in the modern industrial age. All are united by the Legion, which has existed since the fall of the gods with the goal of protecting humanity. The Legion, though, is no longer what they seem. Strange things are happening within the shadows of Cathedris.~
This world is an exciting exploration between oppressive and resistant forces; it delves into the conflict found in secretive places at grand scales, as well as vibrant hope found at the human scale of things. It aims to surprise and amaze readers, inviting them to embark on their own exploration and investigation into the strangeness that is Cathedris.
