The Ka'Maw aka The Spirit-Mouth (Kah-Mah)

The Ka'Maw, or Spirit-Mouth, is a title given to elder Shamans that are tasked with leadership and guidance to the Orc tribes that are scattered about Rev'Nirith. The Shamans exist as leaders, guides, and healers among the tribes. The Ka'Maw is one that has the highest level of respect among the tribes and is usually taught and passed down to those that show a propensity toward the Shamanistic path of magic. The Spirit is different than other magics on Catharre as it is not wholly Divine or tied to a deity; Natural, or tied to the earth and elements of nature; or Arcane, the manipulation of outside forces, but rather is tied to the spirits of ancestors and beings that have passed from this existence. Those Shamans that follow the Spirit can access and manipulate said magic but can only if that magic was known or communicated by the spirit dealing with teh Shaman at the time of need. For example, if the Shaman needs some sort of fire magic but the spirit has no knowledge of that, the Shaman cannot utilize "fire." Shamans can talk to spirits that are known to them but the Spirit-Mouth is special in the regard that they can talk to, and be talked to, by ALL spirits, not just ones known by particular Shamans. The rituals to become a Shaman are NEVER taught to outsiders and are guarded fiercely by the tribes and those that belong to them. The Spirit-Mouth is never chosen by the tribes but rather by the Spirits from the Beyond. One usually has no say in walking the Path of the Spirit-Mouth. The Spirit-Mouth is usually called upon as a united front for all the tribes that are scattered amongst Rev'Nirith and have their words are heard as law wherever they go. Only one Spirit-Mouth can exist at one time. The calling of the Spirit-Mouth is a tough one, and one's life is usually dedicated to protecting Rev'Nirith on levels not purely physical.
